STEP ONE: Removing Your Headrests and Seat Bib (If Applicable)

How to Remove Your Headrests

• If you have removable headrests, you will start by removing them to begin installing your seat covers. Please note this only applies to headrests which are fully adjustable.

• Some vehicles will come with built-in headrest (high back buckets) or folding headrests or active headrests where you DO NOT need to remove the headrest.

Tips for Headrest Removal

• Button Removal: Many vehicles have removable headrests that can be taken out by pushing one or two buttons on the plastic cap located at the bottom of the headrest post.

• Pinhole Release: Some vehicles will have a small pin hole on either of the plastic moldings. use a small finishing nail or paper clip and insert it to push the release mechanism inside the plastic.

• Button & Pinhole Release: In some cases, vehicles may have both. Press on the push button while inserting a finishing nail or paper clip into the pin hole release at the same time.

• Clip Removal: In rare cases, vehicles may have a clip located under the plastic cap. Locate the ends of the clip and use a screwdriver to push the clip out the other side.

• Rotating Cap: In some older vehicles, the plastic cap needs to be rotated counterclockwise to remove the headrest.

• Buttons Under Upholstery: In some luxury vehicles, the push button is located under the original upholstery. Feel for the button and push inwards on it to release the headrest.

IMPORTANT: If you are unsure if your headrests can be removed, please contact us before attempting to remove them.

How to Detach Your Seat Bib (Carpeting Flap)

1. If applicable, remove the elastics or clips holding the carpeting flap located below the backrest cover, this will allow you to properly pass the front straps/Velcro towards the back.

2. The elastics or clips will be wrapped around the metal brackets under the cushion.

STEP TWO: Install Your Cushion Covers

How to Install Your Driver and Passenger Cushions

1. Place cushion cover on cushion (manufacturer’s tag on door side).

2. Align the seams of your seat cover to the seams of your seat so that the shape of the cover fits the shape of the seat.

3. Tuck the rear straps and loop elastics in between the backrests & cushion.

4. Go behind the seat and gently pull the bib at the bottom of the back of the backrest down to allow the straps and loop elastics to drop down (you may have to reach behind and pull them down with your hand).

5. If the seat has a plastic panel on the side, tuck the side edges of the cover in between the panel and the cushion. Note: if the space is tight, you may find it easier to start at the front of the plastic panel and slide the cover back behind the panel instead of tucking the edge directly down.

6. From behind the seat, push the straps forward under the seat so that you can access them from the front of the cushion.

7. At the front of the cushion, pull the straps tight while keeping the cover seams aligned properly. After tightening, thread the straps through the buckles and take up any slack by pulling on the ends of the straps (with medium pressure) so that the buckles lock the straps tight.

IMPORTANT: All tightening should be done by pulling the straps BEFORE they are in the buckles to prevent excess stress on the buckles. If the buckles will not hold the straps tight, make sure you have it threaded correctly: with middle ladder lock on the clip-on topside, push the strap up through the slot closest to the prongs and then back down through the slot farthest from the prongs. To test, pull the long end of the strap from the back and the clip at the same time.

8. Locate the bungee cord ends at the sides of the cushion covers and tuck them to the sides of the cushions to attach the ends together at the back of the cushion with a provided “S” hook. Note: if there is too much bungee cord, pull the bungee cords tight and tie off a new loop.

9. From behind the seat, reach under the cushion and locate the 2 elastic loops attached to the back of the cushion cover and attach them with firm tension to the underside of the cushion using the provided “S” hooks. These loops are meant to prevent the cover from sliding forward.

10. Finally, adjust the cover to fit by smoothing & tucking.

STEP THREE: Install Your Backrest Covers

How to Install Your Driver and Passenger Backrest Covers

1. If your seat has side impact airbags (SAB or SRS), locate the small tags on the covers and make sure they go on the door side of the backrests.

2. If your seat has non-removable headrests, your covers will come with zippered headrests accommodations.

3. If your headrests are removable, you should already have removed them as per the instructions of STEP ONE.

4. If your seats have a seat integrated restraint/seat belt (SIR) your cover will have zippers to accommodate.

5. Slide the backrest covers down over the backrests until snug at the top and adjust the cover so that the headrest holes and edges are lined up.

6. If your cover has a carpet tab at the bottom of the front panel, tuck this through between the backrest and cushion. At the back of the seat, remove the protective strip from the Velcro strip on the back panel and attach the carpet tab firmly so that the front panel is smooth and fits well.

7. If your cover has 2 straps, this means your seats have a “bib” at the back of backrests that extends down under your cushion. Push the straps through between the backrest and cushion. At the back of the seat, access the straps in the same way you did with the cushion straps and push them forward so they can be accessed from the front of the cushion. Refer to STEP ONE for more details.

8. Next, while kneeling beside the front seat, reach under the seat and pull the strap coming from the backrest tight with one hand while smoothing the face of the backrest down into the contour of the backrest with your other hand.

IMPORTANT: All tightening should be done by pulling the straps BEFORE they are in the buckles to prevent excess stress on the buckles. Once the straps are tightened, thread the straps through the buckles and take up any slack in the straps by pulling on the ends of the straps (with medium pressure). Note: if you want to tighten the straps after they have been threaded through the buckles, simply pull on the portion of the straps before the buckles.

9. Adjust the covers to fit and tighten as needed.

STEP FOUR: Install Your Armrest Covers (If Applicable)

Please Note: If your buckets seats have a stationary, floor mounted console (and you cannot seat a third person in the middle), we currently DO NOT offer covers for this type of center console.

2. Slide the armrest over the arm and pull the back edge over so that the wide elastic surround opening faces TOWARDS the seat backrest (the opening is meant to accommodate the arm hinge). The armrest covers do sometimes require a bit of pressure to put on, but this ensures they don’t slide around.

3. Once the cover is on, adjust the cover to fit.

STEP FIVE: Install Your Headrest Covers (If Applicable)

How to Install Your Headrest Covers

1. Install your headrest covers with the headrests inserted into the seats (it is much more difficult to install the covers if they are not anchored into the backrest for stability).

2. Your headrest cover will most likely have a wide elastic opening at the bottom of the cover. If your headrests do not work with this type of design, your cover will have Velcro openings.

3. Identify the front and back of the headrest cover (the back of the cover is where the wide elastic at the bottom begins and ends; if there is no wide elastic, you should be able to orientate the cover by the shape of the headrest).

4. To install the headrests, often, a fair amount of pressure and some compacting is needed to get the cover on. Once on, however, the headrest will be able to expand to its natural shape. Note that the elastic edge of the headrest cover is meant to cup along the bottom edge of the headrest to reduce puckering.

5. Adjust cover to fit.

STEP FOUR: Install Your Console or Pullout Arm Cover (If Applicable)

How to Install Your Console or Pullout Arm Cover

Drop-Down Opening Console Cover

This type of console opens and can be used for storage.

1. The top lid and the bottom cover of the console will be attached by Velcro when packed to avoid confusing them with other covers. They can be separated prior to install and re-attached upon install.

2. If your console cover has a seat integrated restraint (SIR), your cover will have a zipper or Velcro opening to accommodate.

3. Install both the console bottom and top lid and attach the Velcro from the top lid to the loop strip.

4. Finally, adjust the cover to fit by smoothing and tucking.

Solid Pullout Armrest Cover

This type of arm does not open and has no storage compartment.

1. Locate the cover with the cup holder cut-out (if applicable).

2. Remove the headrest cover.

3. Slide the cover over the center backrest and attach the Velcro’s together.

Special Instructions

• Some backrest covers will have a zipper which is made for the integrated seat belt to be installed.

STEP FIVE: Install Your Headrest Covers (If Applicable)

Howto Install Your Headrest Covers

1. Install your headrest covers with the headrests inserted into the seats (it is much more difficult to install the covers if they are not anchored into the backrest for stability).

2. Your headrest cover will most likely have a wide elastic opening at the bottom of the cover. If your headrests do not work with this type of design, your cove will have Velcro openings.

5. Adjust to cover to fit.
