STEP ONE: Removing Your Headrests & Seat Bib (If Applicable)

How to Remove Your Headrests

• If you have removable headrests, you will start by removing them to begin installing your seat covers. Please note this only applies to headrests which are fully adjustable.

• Some vehicles will come with built-in headrest (high back buckets) or folding headrests or active headrests where you DO NOT need to remove the headrest.

Tips for Headrest Removal

• Button Removal: Many vehicles have removable headrests that can be taken out by pushing one or two buttons on the plastic cap located at the bottom of the headrest post.

• Pinhole Release: Some vehicles will have a small pin hole on either of the plastic moldings. use a small finishing nail or paper clip and insert it to push the release mechanism inside the plastic.

• Button & Pinhole Release: In some cases, vehicles may have both. Press on the push button while inserting a finishing nail or paper clip into the pin hole release at the same time.

• Clip Removal: In rare cases, vehicles may have a clip located under the plastic cap. Locate the ends of the clip and use a screwdriver to push the clip out the other side.

• Rotating Cap: In some older vehicles, the plastic cap needs to be rotated counterclockwise to remove the headrest.

• Buttons Under Upholstery: In some luxury vehicles, the push button is located under the original upholstery. Feel for the button and push inwards on it to release the headrest.

IMPORTANT: If you are unsure if your headrests can be removed, please contact us before attempting to remove them.

How to Detach Your Seat Bib (Carpeting Flap)

1. If applicable, remove the elastics or clips holding the carpeting flap located below the backrest cover, this will allow you to properly pass the front straps/Velcro towards the back.

2. The elastics or clips will be wrapped around the metal brackets under the cushion.

STEP TWO: Install Your Bottom Cushions

How to Install Your Driver and Passenger Side Cushion

Please Note: Be careful to check all pieces. The driver’s and passenger’s sides on buckets may be opposites or slightly different. Also, never attach to or tie around wires under seat.

1. Lay the lower cushion cover on the seat cushion and push the flap through where the bottom and backrest meet.

2. On the backside of the lower cushion there is a factory flap of material (carpeted or plastic) that is attached to the underside of the seat with elastic straps. Reach under the seat, find where the elastics are attached to the seat, and detach them. (They may have plastic clips or be looped around the metal springs that support the cushion)

• Some models may have a plastic rivet or be attached to the air bag wiring connector/bracket (e.g., 2015-2016 Ford F-150). You will not need to detach this type of flap to install the covers.

If you have Felt & Velcro Style Covers, skip this step and proceed to step 3.

3. Pull the 3 straps through the gap where the lower cushion and backrest meet. Grab the back edge of the seat cover and pull back until the front corners and seams are properly aligned on the seat.

• Felt & Velcro: Some models may have a plastic rivet or be attached to the air bag wiring connector/bracket (e.g., 2015-2016 Ford F-150). You will not need to detach this type of flap to install the covers.

4. On the back side of the seats feed the outer 2 straps under the seat towards the corresponding front buckles.

• Whenever possible go above all electronics, wires, and metal bars. Feed the straps through the corresponding buckles and tighten. (Some models may have Velcro instead of the outer 2 straps. If it does, just pull flap tight and attach Velcro to the carpet). The center strap is our “Anchor Strap” that you need to feed under the seat, going above a metal support spring, and returning to the buckle that is attached to the strap. This will keep your seat cover from rotating forward over time.

5. Wrap excess strap material above the tightened straps to keep it out of the way.

6. If you have electric seat controls on the upholstery of the seat, there will be cutouts provided. To get a clean look, tuck the opening around the plastic panel, if possible.

7. If you do not have electric seat controls, just tuck the side skirt of the seat cover under the top edge of the plastic trim panel around the base of the seat. (Depending on your seat, most will tuck under the plastic; some will cover over the plastic).

8. Untie the loop at the end of the skirt string on the door side of the cushion. Tuck the bottom skirt strings through the side corners at the back of the seat cushion. Pull the strings until the end with the loop is near the edge of the seat. Then feed the untied end through the loop end and cinch tight like a drawstring bag. Pinch the string to hold it in place and tie off in a knot. (Using a slip knot will make it easier to remove the cushion in the future). On some models the cover will fit better if you go down the side of the seat (behind the plastic trim) and take the strings under the seat to tie them together. Please ensure that the string is not resting against any sharp metal edges and will not interfere with the movement of the seat track.

• If you have adjustable headrests or lumbar supports on the backrest or seat cushion, cutouts will be provided.

STEP THREE: Install Your Backrest Covers

How to Install Your Driver and Passenger Side Backrest Covers

Reminder: Be careful to check all pieces. The driver’s and passenger’s sides on buckets may be opposites or slightly different.)

1. Remove the adjustable headrests before installing. (See STEP ONE for removal details). Line up the top of the seat cover with the top of the seat and pull the cover down on the seat a little at a time. This will ensure a smooth, snug, and straight fit. (If your seats have seat mounted air bags, open the overlapping Velcro flap before sliding the cover over the backrest).

2. Tuck the fabric under the plastic head rest housing using the provided installation tool.

3. Push the flap with felt on the end of it through where the backrest and bottom meet.

4. Pull the flap from the front to the back to get a good form fit on the front side. Pull the felt flap down and seal to the strip of 2” hook/hard Velcro that is sewn on top of the lower cushion seat cover. (Felt & Velcro: this will be a 1” hook/hard Velcro that is sewn along the bottom inside edge of the backside of the cover.)

5. Re-attach Velcro tabs for the airbag flap (if applicable) and then manipulate the cover so that the seams are aligned to match the original seat. If necessary, tighten and re-seal the Velcro.

STEP FOUR: Install Your Armrest and Top Lid Console Covers (If Applicable)

How to Install Your Armrest Covers (If Applicable)

2. If you have cup holders on the armrest cutouts will be provided. Whenever possible, tuck the material around the cutout under the edge of the cup holder plastic.

How to Install Your Top Lid Console (If Ordered)

Please Note: This piece will only be included if you added it on by ordering over the phone at the time of purchase or by adding onto order prior to order being shipped.

1. In most cases, start by tucking the back edge by the hinge first and then stretching the lid cover forward until it caps over the front edge.

2. Some console lids will also have side to side Velcro which will hook together under the lid.

STEP FIVE: Install Your Headrest Covers (If Applicable)

How to Install Your Headrest Covers:

1. Squeeze the headrest together as you slide the cover over the headrest, being careful not to split the seams. (The longer flap with loop/soft Velcro on it will usually go towards the back of the headrest.)

2. Once the cover is on the headrest manipulate it to align the cover seams with the upholstery seams.

3. Pull the front and back flaps together and connect the hook/hard and loop/soft Velcro pieces together.
